After a great night's rest at the Hampton Inn in Sudbury, we leathered up for a cool ride to Mackinaw City, MI. We rode into Sault Sainte Marie and reentered the United States, rode south thru the U.P. to the Mackinaw bridge. It's a 5 mile long suspension bridge and it was windy and a bit rainy when we crossed and due to some construction we were forced to ride the center lanes which are metal grating that allows you to look straight down to the water 200 ft below. The metal grates were very squirrely to ride on. We arrived in Mackinaw City and got our lodging then walked the shops til we were hungry, we then went to a great Italian Restorante where we helped Keith & Jeanette celebrate their 36th wedding anniversary. We then called it a night and went to bed.
