Ok, let's step back to Day 1, the Quirks had a close encounter with the four footed kind before they were even 10 miles from their home. They are clearly being guarded! Next was a visit to Hannibal, MO to see Mark Twain's birthplace - very quaint! All in all we traveled 530 miles, through 3 states in 10+ hours. Of course we could not go through Indy without visiting the speedway and taking pictures. We reached Greenfield, IN at 5:30PM and we were ready to call it a day & eat a good meal! The interesting thing about being bikers is that they always seat us in the bar...then we order our water & I think it is very confusing for the waiters.
Waterworld...starring the Osborns and the Quirks
After a full night of storms, we woke up to more of the same. No pictures today due to the rain. If you need a picture - visit National Geographic & search for torential rains. Don't worry we survived & even dried out eventually...except for our feet!! They were still soggy when we arrived at the hotel. It was an adventure to say the least but one we would only recommend doing one time. God is good, we are not complaining - although there was one particular moment when we thought we were going to have a close encounter with Jesus. A crack of loud thunder & a bolt of lightening that burned all the hair off of Tim's head made Marilyn jump at least a foot off of her seat starled us all! :) We traveled a little over 400 miles today, through 4 states (Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania & New York). We had not planned to get to New York tonight but there were no rooms at the Inn in Erie, Pa...So being the flexible team that we are, we Macgyvered a new plan so here we are in Findley Lake, NY at a beautiful and very secluded Holiday Inn Express. Keith and Jeanette started their journey at 2AM this morning and will meet up with us tomorrow for our Niagara Falls Adventure! They are in Canton, OH this evening!
Good Night to all & keep the prayers coming. We do feel the hedge of protection over us.
